Hey guy's
how are u doing?
Grisha and me where on skype yesterday and we started talking about school and the assignment of good value. Especially about the interactive thing we need to make. Now we where thinking that it would be nice to make a publication of our project, a booklet (all the same sizes) with al our different projects and then combine it in a kind of nice box and explination of the project. But then we still do not have a interactive documentation. So we continued and thought of an interactive pdf. In wich our documentation booklets is shown but, you can hop from one project to another, like for instance you like the quote of grisha, 'increase your ego, support charity' and then when you click on it you get linked to for instance my infographic with the trevi fountain and see if you make a wish your aura also increases. Also we can put in links for instance in a drawing of katriens couponning to a movie of this american extreme couponing show. Etc...
What do you think of this idea?
And shall we again meet at skype in the weekends so we can discuss again or something, it was really nice last time like this, just to go over our concepts and show each other what we are doing? and maybe talk about this idea or if you also have some ideas about interactive design talk about that?
well we also see each other tomorrow.

brainstorm 17-02-2012
Hey guy's
today we discussed our own concepts.
Also grisha and me tought of an overall theme for this project and it is transformation.
With this word we can all do our own ideas.
Now we should think about formulating a nice sentence that we can use.
Also we need to do a concept/ visual presentation on monday. It is kind of hard to just not talk to each other about it and al come with some stuff, so lets skype!! meeting is better but I can only meet sunday and katrien has to come al the way from amsterdam...
So what time shall we say sunday??? Also i think it would be best if we visualize our own concept in 3 slides, and put it in the presentation, if we have that ready before our skype meeting, then we can make a nice presentation together and talk about who's talking and how our presentation is going to look. Also we need to talk with each other more often!!! Even if our concepts are far apart.
speek to you sunday!!

brainstorm 13-02-2012
Hey guy's
today only mary and me were in class, and gabrielle didn't like that. So we need to make sure we are all there next time.
We did discus some things:
It is fine if everyone thinks of his or her own concept. Even if these concepts are a little far from each other. but we do need to try to find an overall subject. We can formulate this in a question, statement, or a nice sentance. Gabrielle named as an example: voor niets gaat de zon op (for nothing the sun rises).
I was really concerned to connect all our different idea's, how to keep it together, but Gabrielle told we should leave it a little and work more on our own project/concept.
But in the meantime we also need tot think about this statement and how we will bring it all together in the end. Maybe in a booklet, or poster or something... Also we may make an end result that is the same format for all our projects so it is more connected, so we all make an A1 poster or booklet with same size, or anuthing else.
(this are alls suggestions)

brainstorm 09-02-2012
Hey guy's
So today we were kind of stuck in how we will keep out thoughts about value systems and free money together. (sorry katrien you were already gone but we made a discussion on how we all can do our own thing and show our statement and still are going in the same direction)
We want to do a research to different subcultures:
What do they exchange in order to get something.
explanation:
We will do a research in a sub-culture, how they spend money, on what, do they spend money, what kind of money, how do they get this money etc..
Katrien for instance can research the subculture of people who get free money. And what do they spend with this free money and is it really free?
Mary will focus on the really rich people, and do something with the air and dollar value.
Grisha charity, nothing is for free. There is no free money. Who pay's for the charity systems. Is there a cultural matter behind it? Does it make you feel happy or good? For who is charity usefull?
Maartje, how works money in the musicworld, like festival coins to buy merchandise, Changing value of these coins and who profits from this system. Is there a better system? What does everything cost.
Note we only have 5 weeks (one of this is a holiday, and then individual starts) So make sure we work fast.
next week already make a clear statement, and a lot of sketches and make clear what you want to make!
advise Jan willem:
make visuals!!
and connect the different subcultures and visuals in a publication or infographic at the end

IMO 06.02.2012
We talked yesterday with Gabrielle, this is what we need to think about:
Just like Catelijne, Gabrielle suggested to split the tasks.
Who's going to make:
1 - informative campagne
2 - infographics
3 - critical statement
4 - ...
- What is a social / cultural influence? Are you becoming a better person? ( For example if you give all the products that you bought with coupons, to charity.)
- Nothing is for free in this world!
We should sketch things we talk about, to have a visual!
- How about the speculation? (No idea what to do with this, I wrote it down cuz we talked about it)

research and making desnisions
Hey,
tomorrow we will all need to sit and finish some thinking, what do we want to do? What do we want to make? And how are we goint to devide all the tasks.
Also we need to make a planning, cause we only have like 7 weeks...
so for tomorrow, let's think about how you see this project, what you think is important, funny, what is your statement about the subject, do you want to tell this statement, or do you want to go against it.
Catelijne's advise was to think of some different statements, and maybe within this subject extreme couponing show different point of views. Also it needs to be clear at the end of this project who did what, why and how.
So lets all collect some inspiration and do some research and the tomorrow we will decide some important steps so we can realy start making some things! Aslo formulate your statement.
lets rock this thing!!

brainstorm 1.0 and 1.1
He guy's
here are the notes of our to brainstorm sessions!
brainstorm 1.0
Value =
-relative worth, merit or importance.
-monetary or material worth as commerce trade
-the worth of something in terms of the amount of other thing of whch it can be exhchanged or in terms of some medium of exchange
- estimated or assigned worth, valuation
what is value?
what is valueble?
focus on what is worth something to us, not on making money
culturale and social value, not to personal.
Who gets money, has money
'Complementary money' - pay with everything but money
coupons and zegeltjes sparen
extreme couponing
How much money is there to get from all the couponing.
What is your money worth in a supermarket.
bonus
inflation
(Gabrielle comment: greed, why is it necessary to get so much stuff you cannot use. Do you finish the food before it turned bad)
Brainstorm 1.1
instrinsic value (just for what it is)
instrumental value (to make profit)
why will focus on instrumental value. How can you make profit from coupons.
This week we will research:
- collecting folders from supermarkets
- sales promotions in supermarkets (AH - hamsterweken, Super de Boer - toeter weken, C100 - 100 products for €1,-)
- spaar acties ( coupons to save for a puppet or doll)
- collect coupons
- inspirational stuff
focus also on greed.
How far will you go for a product
Buy more than you need.
Look at extreme price differences between A brand, home brand and euroshopper. Is price/quality difference balanced?
brainstorm with Gabrielle:
Amount of products
What are the coupons worth in balance with time, parking money, gass, bonus etc..,
do you profit for the amount of products?,
foodstamps for people without money,
consequences for the extreme, morale value,
diagrams from steps we take,
what are the consequences,
discover patterns,
don't lose visual stuff,
research visuals,
when making coupons (if we will) doesn't have to be traditional way

http://www.robinhoodfoodnonfood.net
